Health Risks Of McDonald’s Food
Everyone eats at fast food
restaurants.
McDonald’s, Taco Bell,
Wendy’s, you name it, you’ve probably eaten there. There
is just no way around it anymore. We are in too much of a
hurry all the time to stop and go into a real restaurant where
they seat you, offer you a menu, and then cook your food fresh
while you enjoy a glass of wine. But, what price are we
paying with our health when we engorge ourselves with fast food
day in and day out? Are the minutes that we’re saving by
going through the drive thru really worth the health risks of
McDonald’s food?
Well, our weight is one major thing. Fast food is
usually fried or contains a part that is. Or the food is
cooked in oil or grease or some other way that adds so much of
the bad fats that are out there to it. All of this fat
goes into our bodies and doesn’t digest well at all, if at
all. So, not only are we not digesting all of the fats
that come into our body, we are storing them as well, in our
rears, our stomachs, and, oh yeah, our arteries.
How about those arteries? Surely all that food can’t
be bad, right? Well, while there are some fast food
restaurants out there that are trying to keep better items on
their menus, most still offer the same old thing that they
always have. So, not only do you run the risk of gaining
weight where you don’t want to, you also run the risk of a
heart attack or worse. So, now, are the health risks of
McDonalds food really worth the burger that they came on?
And these are just two of the risks that are associated with
fast foods. To learn more about what other problems these
foods cause, you can check on the Internet or you can head down
to your local library to find books on the subject. Any
way you cut it though, fast foods are just not good for you or
for anyone.
